London Externships

London Wigs

The Notre Dame London Law Programme provides numerous opportunities for students to participate in externships with British barristers, solicitors, multinational corporations, government offices, nonprofit organizations, and law firms.

Students have pursued externships in areas of practice that include human rights, intellectual property law, commercial and property law, tax law, family law, technology and energy law, international and comparative law, and poverty assistance. Past participating employers have included KPMG, Laura Devine Solicitors, Rodney Dixon QC, the U.S. Embassy, and the Islington Law Centre, among others.

Every student in the London Law Programme is eligible to apply for an externship, whether the student is in London for one semester or a full academic year. During the externship experience, students complete work for the firm, office, or organization where they are placed, as well as helpful personal analyses to develop professional skills that will be useful long after the conclusion of the externship.
