In-Person Visits, Fall 2023
In-person visits for prospective and wait-listed students will typically be held on Mondays and Fridays with the following schedule:
Mondays
- 9:00 a.m. ET Check-in at the Admissions Office
- 9:30 a.m ET Class observation - Torts
- 11:00 a.m. ET Admissions Information Session
- 12:00 noon ET Student-led Tour of the Law School
Fridays
- 9:30 a.m. ET Check-in at the Admissions Office
- 9:45 a.m ET Admissions Information Session
- 11:00 a.m. ET Class Observation - Criminal Law
- 12:30 p.m. ET Student-led Tour of the Law School
To register, please complete this form at least two business days before your expected visit.
On the Registration Form, use the drop down menu to select the date and time of your expected visit. After selecting your visit, click the “Cart” icon in the top right corner to complete the registration. There is no cost to register for a visit with the NDLS Admissions Office. Please contact our office with any questions at lawadmit@nd.edu.
Remote Visits, Fall 2023
The Notre Dame Law School Office of Admissions is pleased to host group information sessions via Zoom on select dates. Each information session will last approximately one hour, including time for general questions. Please register at least one hour in advance of the session.

Travel Information
Time Zone
Note: The University of Notre Dame is located in the Eastern Time Zone. If you are traveling to campus from Chicago, please note that you will lose an hour during your commute. The campus is approximately a two- to two-and-a-half-hour drive from O’Hare. A driver leaving O’Hare at 6 a.m. Central time should arrive on campus at approximately 9:00 or 9:30 a.m. Eastern time. Similarly, a driver leaving campus at 1 p.m. EST should arrive at O’Hare by approximately 2:00 or 2:30 p.m. CST.
By Air
Notre Dame is about 15 minutes from South Bend International Airport (SBN). Travel information to and from South Bend International Airport can be found here. Chicago’s O’Hare and Midway airports are around a two-and-a-half-hour drive from campus.
By Car

From the Toll Road (east or west): We’re located just south of the Indiana Toll Road (Interstate 80/90). Exit I-80/90 at Exit 77 and turn right onto Indiana 933. Make a left at the fourth stop light (Angela Boulevard) then turn left at either the first stoplight (Notre Dame Avenue) or the second stoplight (Eddy Street). Follow signs to visitor parking, located in the Walsh Architecture Visitors Lot on the south end of campus.
From the south: Take U.S. 31 north which becomes Indiana 933 just south of the City of South Bend. Stay on Indiana 933 through downtown South Bend to Angela Boulevard. Turn right onto Angela, and then turn left at either the first stoplight (Notre Dame Avenue) or the second stoplight (Eddy Street). Follow signs to visitor parking, located in the Walsh Architecture Visitors Lot on the south end of campus.
By Train
The South Shore Line provides service from downtown Chicago to South Bend International Airport. National train service is provided by Amtrak.
