Fee Waiver Application

Applicants may request a fee waiver via the Fee Waiver Request Form found below. The Admissions Office will begin reviewing fee waiver requests for the 2023-20234 admissions cycle on August 1, 2023. The Admissions Office will provide updates regarding students’ fee waiver status via email. All fee waivers expire on our Regular Decision application deadline of March 15, 2024.

LSAC Need-based Fee Waiver

The Law School Admissions Council (LSAC) offers two different need-based fee waivers to applicants who are financially under-resourced and with the goal of increasing equity and access to the legal profession. Notre Dame Law School will grant an application fee waiver to any applicant who has received a need-based fee waiver from LSAC.

Notre Dame Need-based Fee Waiver

Applicants who do not obtain a fee waiver from LSAC may request a need-based application fee waiver directly from Notre Dame Law School via the form below. Please note that while the application fee is waived, Notre Dame Law School cannot waive fees associated with services rendered by LSAC (i.e., submitting CAS reports, sitting for the LSAT, etc.).

Merit-Based Fee Waiver Request

Notre Dame Law School grants merit-based fee waivers through the LSAC Candidate Referral Service (CRS) via select criteria. The Admissions Office will contact students via email if their application fee has been waived. To be eligible, students must participate in CRS, indicate to LSAC that the student intends to enroll for the current admissions cycle, have at least one LSAT score on file, and have transcripts on file. The Admissions Office updates CRS searches on a monthly basis.

Service-Based Fee Waivers

Notre Dame Law School encourages applications from those who have completed one or more years of full-time service in the United States military, Alliance for Catholic Education (ACE), AmeriCorps, Jesuit Volunteer Corps, Peace Corps, or Teach For America and are happy to waive their application fee via the form found below.
