Salvi II was honored by Chicago Lawyer Magazine as the 2023 Person of the Year, an honor given to the newsmaker, trendsetter or legal leader of the year. Chicago Lawyer Managing Editor John McNally cites Salvi being retained by a former Northwestern University football player to file the first lawsuit against the school over claims of hazing and sexual abuse, finalizing an overall settlement for the remaining Sterigenics cases, and passing meaningful legislation for the plaintiff’s bar through the General Assembly as just a few reasons why Salvi was chosen as the 2023 Person of the Year. Furthrmore, Salvi was the lead attorney on a $363 million jury verdict obtained by Salvi, Schostok & Pritchard that was ranked the 1st overall verdict in ALM’s Top 10 Verdicts in Illinois in 2022. The verdict was also ranked the 10th overall verdict in the United States for 2022. Salvi and his trial team won the $363 million jury verdict on behalf of Plaintiff who was diagnosed with an aggressive breast cancer after living about one-third of a mile from medical device sterilization plant Sterigenics for more than three decades.
