Lisa Schenck was nominated by President Trump and will serve as a judge on the Court of Military Commissions Review. Schenck currently serves as the Associate Dean for Academic Affairs, Director of the National Security & U.S. Foreign Relations L.L.M. Program, Director of the National Security & Cybersecurity Law L.L.M. Program, and professional lecturer in law at the George Washington University School of Law. Prior to joining the law school in 2009, Schenck served in the Army for more than 25 years, first as a Signal Corps Officer and later as a judge, lawyer and educator in the Judge Advocate General’s Corps. Schenck’s alma mater, Providence College, recently highlighted Schenck and her many accomplishments in an article in its Fall 2018 Magazine.
