In Memoriam: Robert L. Miller Sr. '42, '47 J.D.

Robert L. Miller Sr., a longtime St. Joseph County judge and advocate for veterans, passed away on April 27. He was 98.

"Judge Miller represented the best of us," Dean Nell Jessup Newton told The Indiana Lawyer for an article published April 30. "He was a great man and a fine lawyer, and his selfless public service and love for his fellow vets made all of us here at Notre Dame Law School very proud. He will be missed."

Miller was well known for his service to the South Bend community. The South Bend Tribune also published an article about his life.

In 2015, the Notre Dame Alumni Association featured him in an article titled "A Notre Dame Man for Others."
