Phillip Ruddy

It is with a heavy heart that the Law School announces the passing of Philip Ruddy on June 25, 2020. Ruddy began his legal career in 1966 as a law clerk to Chief Justice Roy J. Solfisburg of the Illinois Supreme Court, and then joined the law firm founded by his father, Clarence J. Ruddy. The original firm, Ruddy, Myler and Bartsch, eventually became known as Myler, Ruddy and McTavish, in which Ruddy worked for over 45 years. Please view a beautiful tribute to the life of Philip Ruddy and his many contributions to the legal profession as well as his service as a civic and political leader in Aurora, Illinois.
