Dennis M. Barnes, ’86 J.D.
Barris, Sott, Denn & Driker, PLLC is pleased to announce that partner, Dennis Barnes, has become the 85th president of the State Bar of Michigan. Barnes concentrates his practice on business litigation. Barnes is a past president of the Federal Bar Association’s Eastern District of Michigan chapter and a fellow of the Michigan State Bar Foundation. Barnes has been involved in State Bar work for over a decade and has served on many of its committees and groups. Barnes has served on the SBM Board of Commissioners since 2010 and has served as treasurer, secretary, vice president and president-elect. Additionally Barnes has served on the State Bar of Michigan Representative Assembly.
