Adam Fleming '07 J.D., a partner with WilliamsMcCarthy LLP, was honored with the 2021 Distinguished Pro Bono Advocacy Award from Prairie State Legal Services. Prairie State Legal Services offers free legal services for low-income persons and those age 60 and over who have serious civil legal problems and need legal help to solve them. The award is presented annually to an individual for his/her exceptional commitment to pro bono services. Fleming has been a long-time volunteer for Prairie State, accepting more than 40 cases pro bono in his time with the organization. Additionally, Fleming has recruited other attorneys from WilliamsMcCarthy LLP, increasing the number of cases Prairie State can place. “Adam is a thoughtful and talented attorney as well as a dedicated advocate for Prairie State Legal Service,” shared Mike O’Conner, Executive Director of Prairie State Legal Services. “His dedication to the clients, cases, and the mission of our organization, coupled with his patience and compassion are just a few of the reasons Adam is so deserving of this recognition.” In addition to assisting with cases, Fleming also serves on the Board of Directors for Prairie State, on which he currently serves as secretary.
