Borrowing & Copying Library Materials
Kresge Law Library

Borrowing: If the professor intends to keep the material(s) in his/her office for some time then inform the Circulation Desk attendant that you are a research assistant and ask to check out the library material(s) in the professor’s name. If the material(s) will not be in the professor’s office, check out the material(s) in your name.
- Copying: Speak with your professor’s administrative assistant for information regarding copying.
Hesburgh Libraries
- Borrowing: If the professor intends to keep the material(s) in his/her office for some time, pick up your professor’s proxy card at the Circulation Desk. Be sure to return the proxy card to the Law Library Circulation Desk the same day. If the material(s) will not be in the professor’s office, check out the material(s) in your name.
- Copying: Copy cards for use at Hesburgh Libraries are available at the Law Library Circulation Desk and must be returned the same day.
Carrels
Study carrels in the law library are available to research assistants during the academic year through the carrel lottery system and during the summer on a first-come, first-served basis. Contact Research Services Assistant, Beth Klein, via e-mail at bklein@nd.edu.
