E-Textbook access during distance learning

To access Wolters Kluwer or Carolina Academic Press textbooks electronically, visit bookshelf.vitalsource.com and create an account with your institution-provided email address (@nd.edu email address). Once you create an account, click the "Explore" tab in the upper left corner. From here, you can find the free e-textbooks. Please note that at this time, student downloads are limited to 7 titles and trial access will expire on Monday, May 25th, 2020.

For Westlaw textbooks, the publishing company is giving free eBook access to students (who previously purchased a hard copy) that call them from a school that has moved to online courses. A customer service representative can help you. Call (877) 888-1330. Westlaw’s collection includes a number of popular publishers, including the American Casebook Series, University Casebook Series, Foundation Press, and Gilbert Guides. Westlaw also has online assessment tools available for students. View this PDF for more information.

Lexis publishing is making decisions on a case-by-case basis at this point. Students should call 800-833-9844 to see if their casebook is eligible.
