G. Marcus Cole is the Joseph A. Matson Dean and Professor of Law at Notre Dame Law School.
His research has explored questions such as why corporate bankruptcies are increasingly filed in Delaware and what drives the financial structure of firms backed by venture capital. His recent research has involved the ways in which the world’s poor are using technology to solve their own problems, often in the face of government restrictions hindering such solutions. Supports faculty teaching and research as well as overseeing faculty travel funding, internal and external colloquia, outside speakers, visiting faculty, and conferences.
Associate Dean for Experiential Programs and Clinical Professor of Law
Develops and oversees the Law School’s clinical law and externship programs.
Assistant Dean for Law School Administration
Manages the operating budget of the Law School, supervises and maintains the facilities of the Law School, and oversees the employment policies of the University as they relate to Law School personnel.
