Yasmeen Dohan, a first-year student at Notre Dame Law School, was named the recipient of the 2024 Barnes & Thornburg Diversity Scholarship.

The scholarship is awarded to first-year law students who demonstrate a commitment to contributing to diversity, equity, and inclusion goals at Barnes and Thornburg, and to DEI broadly in the legal profession. It also recognizes Dohan for her excellent academic and personal achievements.

“I feel incredibly grateful to have been awarded the Barnes & Thornburg 1L Diversity Scholarship,” said Dohan. “The opportunity to spend a summer with attorneys who are deeply committed to their work and creating an inclusive and diverse environment is a privilege not many law students receive. I look forward to connecting with more of the Barnes & Thornburg team this summer and learning from their experiences.”

At Notre Dame Law School, Dohan is the incoming vice president of the Middle Eastern Law Students Association and incoming vice president of events for the Environmental Law Society. She received her undergraduate degree from the University of Michigan.

As one of two Barnes and Thornburg 1L Diversity Scholarship recipients this year, Dohan will work this summer in the firm’s summer associate program in Indianapolis.
