Mary Ann Glendon, the Learned Hand Professor of Law, emerita, at Harvard Law School and a former U.S. Ambassador to the Holy See, will be the inaugural speaker for the Rice-Hasson Distinguished Lecture Series at Notre Dame Law School on Wednesday, November 17, 2021.

The Law School’s Program on Church, State & Society is launching the series to serve as the program’s flagship annual event and celebration. The series is named to honor the late Notre Dame Law Professor Charles E. Rice as well as Kevin J. “Seamus” Hasson and his wife, Mary Rice Hasson.

The Rice-Hasson Lecture will bring a distinguished scholar to Notre Dame’s campus each year to deliver a public lecture that will engage the University and Law School communities.
