David Gilmartin, Associate General Counsel at the Joint Commission, will be discussing (1) the significance of the Joint Commission, (2) healthcare standards imposed by the Joint Commission, (3) how those standards are determined, and the role they play in health systems receiving compensation from CMS, and (4) Healthcare quality improvement techniques and projects with regard to their relation to health policy.
