Susan Azyndar joined the Kresge Law Library in 2020 and serves as senior associate director. Prior to coming to Notre Dame, she worked as a reference librarian at the Moritz Law Library at the Ohio State University. Earlier in her career, she served as an attorney for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. Azyndar graduated Order of the Coif from the University of Arizona James E. Rogers College of Law, where she was senior articles editor of the Arizona Law Review. She earned an M.L.I.S. from the University of Washington.

Azyndar teaches legal writing and legal research courses, including advanced legal research courses on topics such as tax and administrative law. She also publishes and presents on legal research pedagogy, most recently focusing on legal research and the NextGen Bar Exam. Actively engaged in the law librarianship profession, Azyndar has served as treasurer of the Ohio Regional Association of Law Libraries and as chair of the American Association of Law Libraries' Copyright Committee. Currently, she serves as an editorial board member for two publications: "Law Library Journal," the official academic journal of the American Association of Law Libraries, and "The Second Draft," a peer-reviewed publication of the Legal Writing Institute.
