Susan Azyndar joined the Kresge Law Library in 2020 and serves as librarian and acting director. Prior to coming to Notre Dame, she worked as a reference librarian at the Moritz Law Library at the Ohio State University. Earlier in her career, she served as an attorney for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. Azyndar graduated Order of the Coif from the University of Arizona James E. Rogers College of Law, where she was senior articles editor of the Arizona Law Review. She earned an M.L.I.S. from the University of Washington.
Professor Azyndar teaches legal writing and legal research courses, as well as law practice technology. Her recent scholarship and presentations focus on legal research and artificial intelligence. Actively engaged in the law librarianship profession, Azyndar has served as treasurer of the Ohio Regional Association of Law Libraries and as chair of the American Association of Law Libraries' Copyright Committee. Currently, she serves as Editor-in-Chief of "The Second Draft" and as a member of the editorial board of "Legal Reference Services Quarterly.
