Stephen Judge is a partner at SouthBank Legal, where he is a member of the firm’s Chambers-ranked Commercial Litigation team and focuses his practice on complex commercial litigation, including class and collective actions, labor and employment, and appellate and constitutional law. In his litigation practice, Steve has represented clients ranging from Fortune 500 companies to local businesses at all stages of investigation, litigation, and appeal, as well as in mediation and arbitration. Steve has represented clients before the Seventh Circuit Court of Appeals, the Indiana Court of Appeals, and the Indiana Supreme Court. Steve also advises healthcare providers on a wide range of healthcare regulatory and compliance issues, including fraud and abuse and data privacy and security.
At Notre Dame Law School, Steve currently teaches the Seventh Circuit Practice Externship. He previously taught courses on deposition skills and on the intersection between Catholic social teaching, religious liberty, and the U.S. legal system.
Steve earned his B.A. from Loyola University in Maryland in 2001 and his J.D. magna cum laude from Notre Dame Law School in 2007. Prior to joining SouthBank Legal, Steve practiced at Am Law 100 law firms in Washington, D.C. and South Bend and served as a law clerk on the United States District Court for the Northern District of Indiana and the United States Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit.
