Robert Gerberry is Senior Vice President and Chief Legal Officer for Summa Health System. Gerberry joined Summa in 2002 as an associate general counsel and has provided guidance on all aspects of healthcare law with a focus on regulatory matters and strategic and transactional projects, including mergers and acquisitions, affiliations, joint ventures, and physician alignment initiatives. His responsibilities extend for the oversight, growth and development of several important areas of the organization, including legal services, SummaCare legal services, corporate compliance, government relations, internal audit, physician services and governance.

Rob was recently named President-Elect Designate of the American Health Law Association. He currently serves on AHLA’s Board of Directors and Governance Committee and has previously held leadership roles including Chair of the In-House Counsel Group.​ He earned a B.A. from the University of Notre Dame, and his J.D. from the Cleveland Marshall College of Law.
