Orla Lynskey is Global Distinguished Professor of Law on the Notre Dame Law School London Programme where she teaches a seminar on EU Digital Regulation. She holds a Chair in Law and Technology at UCL Faculty of Laws and a Visiting Professorship at the College of Europe, Bruges. She was previously an Associate Professor at LSE Law School.

Orla's research and teaching is concerned with the effectiveness and coherence of digital regulation, with a particular focus on data governance and digital rights. Her work seeks to combine conceptual rigour with policy relevance and she has a strong record of engagement with policy makers. She is currently joint Editor-in-Chief of International Data Privacy Law (OUP) and a section Editor of the Modern Law Review. Orla holds law degrees from Trinity College Dublin (LLB lingua franca), the College of Europe Bruges (LLM) and the University of Cambridge (PhD) and she is called to the Bar of England and Wales.
