Matthew Humphreys is Dean of the Faculty of Management, Economics and Law, Royal Holloway University of London, and Head of the School of Law. He is a Principal Fellow of the Higher Education Academy and a Professor at Royal Holloway. 

Humphreys was awarded an MBE in the New Year’s Honours list 2011 for services to the community in central London, and his work with EC1 New Deal for Communities (he was the Chair of the Partnership Board from 2004-2011). He is committed to social justice and community project work, and has been actively involved in leading regeneration and project work in communities for 20 years. 

His research field is European environmental law, regeneration, and social justice, including dispute resolution and mediation.
