Mary Jo Anderson
Paralegal, Notre Dame Tax Clinic
Office: Notre Dame Clinical Law Center, 725 Howard Street
Mary Jo Anderson joined the law school in November 2019. She works with the director of the Notre Dame Tax Clinic to assist in its mission of providing effective learning opportunities for law students in the basic skills of law practice by striving to serve the unmet legal needs of the poor and under-represented.
She is a "Double Domer," having obtained her B.A. in Spanish and Latin American studies and her J.D. from Notre Dame Law School. She was a Glenn Peters fellow and the recipient of the Dean Konop Legal Aid and Defender award while in law school. Determined to devote her career to public interest, Anderson was a staff attorney with Indiana Legal Services, a division head in the Child Support Division of the St. Joseph County Prosecutor’s Office, and executive director of the Volunteer Lawyer Network, Inc. before taking time off to raise her family.
She deeply appreciates the opportunity to assist the clinic in helping both students and community members understand the intricacies of individual income tax laws and procedures.
