Gabrielle Spontak joined the Exoneration Justice Clinic as a legal assistant for the Program for the Defense of Mexican Nationals in U.S. Criminal Proceedings (PDM) in May 2024. Prior to working at the EJC, Gabrielle graduated cum laude from the University of Notre Dame in 2024, where she studied Global Affairs with a concentration in Civil and Human Rights and Greek and Roman Civilization in the Classics department.

During her time as a student, Gabrielle worked as a research assistant for the International Race and Rights Lab in the Klau Institute for Civil and Human Rights. She also worked as a summer law clerk in 2022 and 2023 for the Civil Actions Bureau of the Cook County State’s Attorney’s Office in Chicago, contributing mainly to the Civil Rights/Torts division.
