New York Bar Admission – Skills Competency Requirement
Beginning with the Class of 2019, applicants for admission to the New York State Bar must establish that they have acquired the skills and competencies to practice law. NDLS students must obtain 15 credit hours of practice-based experiential coursework. Six of the 15 credits may be gained through certified full-time summer work experience.
