Visiting campus is the best way to experience the distinctive qualities of the University of Notre Dame and the Law School. We encourage you to join us during the academic year to visit a class and meet with current students. Please note: Notre Dame is located in the Eastern time zone.
The Admissions Office offer several types of visits for potential students: In the fall the visit program has visits on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday (including a class visit, information session, tour of the Law School, and optional campus tour).
The Spring Visit Program has visits for prospective and waitlisted students on Monday and Wednesday (including class visit, information session, tour of the Law School, and optional campus tour), as well as the Admitted Student Visit Program on Friday (including class visit, information session, tour of the Law School, lunch with a current student, Career Development Office information session, and optional campus tour).
Other visits include the Summer Visit Program (information session and Law School tour) and Admitted Student Weekends (Friday and Saturday informational program for admitted students in the spring). Details about each event can be found in the event description, including arrival time.
To RSVP, please complete the form available in each event description in the calendar below. Please register to visit at least four business days prior to the date you want to attend the visit program. A member of the Admissions Office will respond to you within two business days to confirm your visit. Space is limited, so please register early.
Traveling by Air
Notre Dame is about 15 minutes from South Bend International Airport (SBN), which offers daily service from Atlanta, Chicago, Detroit, Newark, and Minneapolis via Delta and United. Allegiant offers flights between South Bend and Las Vegas, Orlando, Phoenix-Mesa, Punta Gorda, and St. Petersburg-Clearwater.
Chicago O’Hare and Chicago Midway airports are accessible via Coach USA (3 to 3.5 hours) or by car (2 to 2.5 hours).
Traveling by Car
From the Toll Road (east or west): We’re located just south of the Indiana Toll Road (Interstate 80/90). Exit I-80/90 at Exit 77 and turn right onto Indiana 933. Make a left at the fourth stop light (Angela Boulevard) then turn left at either the first (Notre Dame Avenue), or second stoplight (Eddy Street). Follow signs to visitor parking, located in the Walsh Architecture Visitors Lot on the south end of campus.
From the south: Take U.S. 31 north which becomes Indiana 933 just south of the city of South Bend. Stay on Indiana 933 through downtown South Bend to Angela Boulevard. Turn right onto Angela, and then turn left at either the first (Notre Dame Avenue), or second stoplight (Eddy Street). Follow signs to visitor parking, located in the Walsh Architecture Visitors Lot on the south end of campus.
Traveling by Bus
Coach USA provides bus service from Chicago O’Hare and Midway Airports directly to the Notre Dame campus. Additional bus services are provided by Greyhound and Hoosier Ride via terminals at the South Bend International Airport.

Time Zone Note
The University of Notre Dame is located in the Eastern Time Zone. If you are traveling to campus from Chicago, please note that you will “lose” an hour during your commute. Campus is approximately a 2 to 2.5 hour drive from O’Hare. A driver leaving O’Hare at 9:00 a.m. Central should arrive on campus at approximately Noon or 12:30 p.m. Eastern. Similarly, a driver leaving campus at 1 p.m. Eastern should arrive at O’Hare at approximately 2:00 or 2:30 p.m. Central.
