Notre Dame Law School Hosts Junior Tax Scholars
June 11, 2010

Junior faculty from law schools across the country will convene at Notre Dame Law School on Friday and Saturday, June 11-12, for the fifth annual Junior Tax Scholars Workshop. The event provides an opportunity for untenured faculty to read and comment on each others’ works-in-progress in a supportive environment.

Among the law schools represented at this year’s meeting are Boston College, Northwestern, University of California – Berkeley, Washington University (St. Louis), and Hebrew University (Jerusalem). Notre Dame Associate Professor of Law Lloyd Hitoshi Mayer, who helped organize the workshop this year, noted that “this meeting provides a unique opportunity for tax scholars from across the country to both receive candid yet friendly feedback on their draft papers and to become acquainted with professors from other law schools who are likely to be their colleagues for decades to come. It is a great honor for Notre Dame to host this year’s Workshop, and I look forward to introducing my fellow tax professors to both the University of Notre Dame campus and the Law School.”

The law schools that hosted the four previous meetings were Brooklyn, NYU, Boston University, and the University of Colorado, which hosted the inaugural gathering.
