Second-year Notre Dame Law student Alexandria Hasenkamp has received The Paul D. White Scholarship from the law firm of BakerHostetler.

As a tribute to Paul D. White, the firm’s first minority partner and a pioneer for minorities in the legal profession, the scholarship is awarded annually to promote diversity. The scholarship includes a paid summer clerkship and a cash award.

Hasenkamp worked in the firm's Denver office in the energy litigation practice area this past summer.

"It was so helpful to receive such a generous scholarship from BakerHostetler. In addition to the scholarship aspect, there was a lot of support among the attorneys and partners at BakerHostetler," Hasenkamp said. "Many of the attorneys in the energy litigation practice in Denver are diverse in one way or another and all the attorneys at BakerHostetler volunteer their time to support diversity or allocate funds toward diversity initiatives."

Hasenkamp also attended the firm's diversity event in Atlanta, where she was able to network and see the firm's nationwide efforts to recruit, support, and promote diversity in the legal profession.
