Leslie Mendez ’20 LL.M. was one of the lawyers in a Belize Supreme Court case involving two female police officers who alleged that their constitutional rights were violated when they were disciplined by their superiors for not getting rid of their dreadlocks. The court ruled in favor of the officers in January 2021.
