Heather Pearson '19 J.D.

Heather Pearson '19 J.D. earned second place in the Food and Drug Law Institute's 2019 Austern Writing Competition.

Her paper, “Make Smoking Gross Again: Chevron, Deference, and Regulating America’s Favorite Addictive Chemical,” was commended for quality of research and depth of legal analysis. Her paper was also selected by peer reviewers for publication in a forthcoming issue of FDLI’s Food and Drug Law Journal.

The results of the competition were announced in the November/December 2019 issue of FDLI's Update magazine and on the institute's website.
