Gretchen Herault, Senior Privacy Counsel and HIPAA Privacy Officer at GE Healthcare, recently received the International Association of Privacy Professionals’ (IAPP) new Privacy Law Specialist designation. Herault is responsible for all aspects of privacy and data governance for GE Healthcare’s US and Canadian operations relating to medical devices, software, and life sciences. Prior to joining GE, she was the Chief Privacy Officer at Nuance Communications, and spent six years as Vice President, Compliance and Fraud Prevention and Deputy Chief Privacy Officer at monster.com. Before joining the technology industry, Herault served as Executive Vice President and General Counsel at Graduate Leverage, and previously worked as regulatory and litigation counsel in the financial services industry for over ten years. She began her career clerking for the New Hampshire Superior Court.
