Black Law Students Association holds 2019 awards ceremony

Notre Dame Law School’s chapter of the Black Law Students Association honored faculty and students with awards at their annual banquet on March 30.

Veronica Root Martinez, associate professor of law, was awarded the faculty of the year award, given to the faculty member committed to the academic enrichment and overall student life for BLSA members.

BLSA also awarded third-year law student Jacqueline Mack with the Dwight King Community Service Award. This award is presented to a BLSA member who has devoted considerable time, energy, and attention to both BLSA and the Notre Dame Law School community. Mack is pictured in the above photo.

Other awards included the administrator of the year award given to Christine Holst, the Law School’s student services program manager. The Judge Willie J. Lipscomb Scholarship was awarded to first-year law student Sadat Donkor.
