One of Notre Dame Law School’s students made a presentation this summer at the 2018 Indiana Legal Education Conclave.

Rising third-year student Kendra Key reported on “Building Bridges to Special Populations through Problem-Solving Courts.” The Conclave, held July 28 in Indianapolis, was sponsored by the Indiana State Bar Association.

The event brought together courts, practitioners, and legal scholars to discuss the progress and pitfalls of problem-solving courts. Participants learned that although problem-solving courts are highly effective at many of their objectives, there is still more research that needs to be done to see why some models work and how others can become more effective.
