This is the first event in Notre Dame Law's Journal of Law, Ethics, and Public Policy's "Veritas" Speaker Series, co-sponsored by the St. Thomas More Society. Bishop Thomas John Paprocki of the Diocese of Springfield, Illinois will speak on "The Essential Relationship of the Judeo-Christian Intellectual Tradition to Ethics, Law & Public Policy." He currently serves as an Adjunct Professor of Law, Business & Bioethics at the Quincy University Oakley School of Business. Known for his fitness—he has run 24 marathons and been dubbed "The Holy Goalie"—Bishop Paprocki has published two books: Holy Goals for Body and Soul: Eight Steps to Connect Sports with God and Faith (Ave Maria Press, 2013) and Running for a Higher Purpose: Eight Steps to Spiritual and Physical Fitness (Ave Maria Press, 2021).
