Global Lawyering in Practice: From the U.S. to Ireland

-

Location: Via Zoom

In the past decade, U.S. companies have selected Ireland as their European base, taking advantage of its favorable corporate tax environment. Following Brexit, Ireland is the last major English-speaking common-law jurisdiction in the European Union. Cross-border issues and transnational mergers and acquisitions naturally follow from U.S. companies’ presence in Ireland. But what are the most important skills a lawyer needs to represent corporate clients in these deals? How do you succeed as a global lawyer between Ireland and America? Will Cushing, ND ‘09, an associate at A&L Goodbody, joins us to share his insight as an American lawyer in Ireland.

Professor Patrick Corrigan will moderate.
