Ewart JasonEwart Jason

Jason Ewart was a lead defense attorney in the capital punishment case of Troy Davis, who in 1989 was accused of killing an off-duty police officer in Jackson, Georgia. Though serious doubts developed around Davis’s conviction, he was executed in 2011.

Mr. Ewart will speak to the Notre Dame community about the case, about the death penalty, and about troubling aspects of the American justice system. The Klau Center is proud to co-sponsor his visit along with the Exoneration Project at Notre Dame Law School.
