William Collins (J.D. ’13) and Robert Ward (J.D. ’13) Presented with 2013 American Bar Association and Bloomberg BNA Award for Excellence in Intellectual Property Law

patent_bar_news Recent Notre Dame Law School graduates William Collins and Robert Ward are this year’s recipients of the ABA/BNA Award for Excellence in Intellectual Property Law. The Award, in which the American Bar Association and Bloomberg BNA invite law schools to participate annually, honors superior academic performance in intellectual property law.

Collins graduated cum laude and is from Houston, Texas. Collins was recently admitted to practice before the United States Patent and Trademark Office and will sit for the Texas bar exam in July. After the bar, Collins will practice in the Houston office of Winston & Strawn LLP. He plans to focus his practice on patent litigation matters.

Ward is from Mission Viejo, California. He also recently passed the United States Patent and Trademark Office Bar Exam in March and is currently studying for the state bar.
