Notre Dame Black Law Students Association Alumni Weekend

The 2014 Notre Dame Black Law Students Association alumni weekend will open Friday, March 21, with a reception at the South Bend home of the Hon. Roland Chamblee Jr. and conclude on Sunday with a prayer service in memory of the Hon. Judge Willie Lipscomb, J.D. ’75.

Panel discussions on Saturday will feature alumni panels and a talk by NDLS Visiting Professor Veronica Root on “Lawyering in the Age of Social Media.”

The 41st Annual BLSA Alumni Banquet will be held Saturday night in the Notre Dame Football Stadium Press Box. Among the awards to be presented there are the Alvin McKenna Alumnus of the Year Award (presented to Judge Qiana Lillard); the Charles F. Crutchfield Award (presented to NDLS Professor Jimmy Gurule); and BLSA Appreciation Award (presented to Karen Srmek, of the NDLS Admissions staff); and the Dwight King Excellence in Service Award (presented to BLSA President Joy Anderson).
