In Memoriam: Joseph F. Gargan, ’52 BA, ‘55 J.D.

It is with a heavy heart that the law school announces the passing of Joseph Gargan on December 12, 2017 in Lansdowne, Virginia. Gargan was formerly of Hyannis Port, Massachusetts. After graduating from Notre Dame with his law degree, Gargan worked as trial lawyer at Badger, Pratt, Doyle & Badger. Following his years in practice, Gargan spent time working on John Kennedy’s 1960 presidential campaign as well as campaigns for both Ted and Bobby Kennedy. Gargan later returned to private practice and eventually became a founding partner at Gargan, Harrington, Markham & Wall. Gargan retired from practice in 2013.
