Christy Dunn has been named Chief of the Criminal Division of the Attorney General’s Office in the US Territory of America Samoa located in Pago Pago, Alabama. Prior to this promotion, Dunn served as Associate Attorney General for the American Samoa Government.
Robert Seidler has joined the national law firm Jackson Lewis P.C. as a Principal in its Indianapolis office. Seidler advises employers on compliance with state and federal labor regulations and represents management in labor and employment litigation. Seidler conducts workplace training, seminars, and other engagements to assist employers of all sizes in navigating the labor law regulatory environment.
Daniel Gallegos has been appointed by Governor Susana Martinez as a judge on the New Mexico Court of Appeals, the state’s second-highest court. Immediately prior to his appointment to the bench, Judge Gallegos was a staff attorney with the New Mexico Court of Appeals. He previously served as a felony prosecutor, handling domestic violence cases and crimes against children. Judge Gallegos currently serves as a Lieutenant Commander in the US Navy Reserve JAG Corps.
Christine Mayle was elected to serve as Presiding Judge of the Ohio Court of Appeals for the Sixth District, which sits in Toledo and hears appeals from all trial courts in an eight-county region of Northwest Ohio. Mayle was elected to the bench in November 2016 and is currently the youngest elected appellate judge in the state of Ohio.
Eric Wu has joined Leech Tishman Fuscaldo & Lampl as an associate in its newly opened office in El Segundo, California. Wu will focus his practice on California business, labor and employment matters. Wu has extensive experience providing advice and counsel to employers on all aspects of labor and employment law. Wu also regularly advises companies on business and corporate transactional matters.
Tyler Atkinson was part of the trial team at McManis Faulkner that was honored by the Daily Journal in its “Top Verdicts” supplement. The firm’s victory in the California Supreme Court in Smith v. FBI Supervisory Special Agent Thomas Olohan was awarded an “Attorney General’s Award for Excellence in Furthering the Interests of U.S. National Security” at the 65th Annual Attorney General’s Awards Ceremony in Washington, D.C. on October 25, 2017. The award was presented to Olohan by Attorney General Jeff Sessions and FBI Director Christopher Wray.

Stone Grissom’s first novel titled “A Cry for Justice” was recently published and is available on Amazon. In this legal thriller, Grissom makes several references to Notre Dame Law School and states it is “my small homage to my cherished time as a Domer”. Grissom is an Edward R. Murrow winning journalist and the prime time news anchor at News 12 on Long Island. In addition to his many awards as a journalist, Grissom has utilized his background in civil rights and experience as a criminal defense attorney in his work as a legal analyst on local and national stations covering national and international stories including the Sandy Hook shooting and the civil trial of Michael Jackson. Grissom was also awarded the Louis A. Powell Medal for Excellence in Trial Advocacy by the American College of Trial Lawyers.
Andrew Baum has been appointed by Governor John Hickenlooper to serve as District Court Judge in the 18th Judicial District in south suburban Denver. Baum currently serves as a Magistrate in the 18th Judicial District, a position he has held since 2016. Baum presides over a domestic relations docket. Before becoming a judicial officer, he served in the Denver District Attorney’s Office for eight years, most recently in the Economic Crime Unit. Prior to joining the Denver District Attorney’s Office, Baum served in the U.S. Army Judge Advocate General’s Corps for four years. Baum also serves as one of the officers of the Colorado Notre Dame Lawyers Committee.

Marisa Lorenzo has been elected to partner at Kelley Drye & Warren LLP in New York. Lorenzo is a litigator who focuses on investigations, enforcement actions and lawsuits involving the communications industry. Lorenzo works with clients, including communication service providers, to navigate government investigations, Federal Communications Commission enforcement actions, and False Claims Act cases brought under both federal and state laws. Andrew J. Hofland has joined Crowe & Dunlevy as an associate in the firm’s Tulsa office and a member of the Litigation & Trial and Bankruptcy & Creditor’s Rights Practice Groups. Before joining the firm, Hofland served as an Assistant United States Attorney (AUSA) for the Northern District of Oklahoma. As an AUSA, he represented the United States in a variety of complex criminal prosecutions in federal court; including cases involving organized crime, drug trafficking, fraud and internet crimes against children. Hofland also served previously as a Judge Advocate General’s (JAG) Corps officer in the U.S. Navy. During his time with the Navy, Hofland gained significant trial experience prosecuting and defending service members in courts-martial and administrative disciplinary proceedings.
