The Notre Dame Lawyers Club of San Diego will host a sports and business panel discussion at PETCO Park, Thursday, Feb. 4. The talk, moderated by Tracy A. Warren, ’99 J.D., former national and local sports television broadcaster and current shareholder at Ogletree Deakins, will feature four Notre Dame alumni who will offer insights into building a successful career within the billion-dollar sports industry.

The panel will include Sara Hayes, ’95 B.A., owner of Power Line Consulting, a boutique agency that focuses on supporting and developing high school athletes. Hayes has coached collegiate softball for DePaul University, the University of Northern Iowa, Indiana University, the University of the Pacific and San Diego State University.

Tom Seidler, ’90 B.A., will also join the discussion. Seidler is a member of the San Diego Padres owners group. He also operated the Visalia Rawhide Minor League Baseball team.

Former Notre Dame quarterback, Dayne Crist, ’12 B.S., will join the group. Crist is currently the vice president and financial advisor of wealth management for Bernstein Private Wealth Management.

Steve Sepeta, ’99 B.B.A. and a former Notre Dame lacrosse player, will round out the panel. Sepeta is the creator and president of Adrenaline Lacrosse, a multifaceted athletic apparel line and events company.

“We thought this diverse group of panelists, who each have such different experiences, would lead to a good conversation,” said Juan Castañeda, founder of Castañeda Trial Attorneys. Castañeda also serves on the leadership team of the Notre Dame Lawyers Club of San Diego. “It’s a great group and we want to use this event as an opportunity to strengthen the Notre Dame brand and strengthen relationships.”

In addition to the discussion, participants will enjoy a networking reception and tour of the ballpark. Sponsors include the San Diego Padres, Notre Dame Law School/Order of St. Thomas More, Aptus Court Reporting, Advanced Discovery and the Notre Dame Club of San Diego.
