Professor Kaveny a Featured Guest at Boston College Discussion on Religious Liberty

Cathleen Kaveny scarf Professor M. Cathleen Kaveny participated in a panel discussion with Boston College Law School Dean Vincent Rougeau at Boston College’s Church in the 21st Century Center. Joining Professor Kaveny and Dean Rougeau was the Rev. J. Bryan Hehir.

Entitled “Is Religious Liberty Under Threat In America?,” the April 18 program focused on religious charities and educational, health, and social service ministries.

Professor Kaveny is a John P. Murphy Foundation Professor of Law and Professor of Theology at the University of Notre Dame and the author of more than 80 articles and essays. Dean Rougeau is currently researching the relationship between religious identity and democratic citizenship in the global world. Fr. Hehir is the Parker Gilbert Montgomery Professor of the Practice of Religion and Public Life, as well as the Secretary for Health Care and Social Services in the Archdiocese of Boston.
