Professor Mary Ellen O’Connell spoke on “Good Law Against War” at The Notre Dame Institute for Advanced Study’s “Dimensions of Goodness” conference April 5.

The April 5 afternoon session was chaired by Donald P. Kommers, the Joseph and Elizabeth Robbie Professor of Political Science and Professor of Law, Emeritus.

The three-day conference featured 17 scholars and other experts from a wide variety of disciplines, including biomedicine, engineering, law, philosophy, political science, psychology, and theology.

Professor O’Connell is the Robert and Marion Short Chair in Law and research professor of international dispute resolution at the Kroc Institute for International Peace Studies.
