Welcome Professor Randy Kozel

Randy Kozel faculty Continuing our welcomes to the newest members of our NDLS community, this week we’d like to extend a warm welcome to new faculty member Randy Kozel!

Professor Kozel teaches and researches in areas including freedom of speech, legal change, contract law, and civil procedure. He previously worked as Special Counsel at General Electric Co., and as a litigation associate in private practice. Despite the very heavy demands of his law practice, Randy wrote several scholarly articles published by the top journals at Virginia, Washington & Lee, and Northwestern. He also spent two years in judicial clerkships, first for Judge Alex Kozinski at the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit and then for Justice Anthony M. Kennedy at the United States Supreme Court. Professor Kozel received his J.D., magna cum laude, from Harvard Law School, where he served as Articles Committee Chair of the Harvard Law Review. He received his undergraduate degree from the University of Wisconsin in Madison.
