Monica Patankar '07 J.D.

Monica Patankar '07 J.D. won the 2019 City of Aurora Cultural Champion Award on October 19. The award was presented by Illinois Lt. Governor Juliana Stratton and the Mayor of Aurora, Illinois, at the City of Aurora's “Diwali Festival of Lights.” Patankar received this award in recognition for her community service efforts of promoting the different cultures represented in Illinois. She is also a spokeswoman for the Aurora Food Pantry, and also performs Indian cultural and Bollywood dance at dance festivals. Patankar also currently serves as Miss Illinois for America 2019.
