Mary Cowsert was awarded a certificate of completion for the Frontline Supervision sessions offered by the Human Resources Department at Notre Dame. The Frontline Supervision course is a series of eight half-day sessions, plus a full-day summit conference designed to provide maximum “how-to” skills which supervisors can apply on the job. Sessions included roles and responsibilities of today’s supervisor; communication, prioritizing, planning and organizing, setting expectations and delegating, performance discussions with impact, campus resources, policies and procedures, change management and conflict resolution. In addition, Mary participated in Peer Consultation Sessions, designed to reinforce the concepts being taught and to afford an opportunity for dialog with peer supervisors. Mary has supervised for many years and she is one of the best. The completion of the series only reinforces her professional and values-based approach to supervising people. Congratulations, Mary!
