Four NDLS Graduates Elected to U.S. Congress

On Tuesday, November 6, 2012, four Notre Dame Law School graduates were elected to the U.S. Congress. Joe Donnelly, a 1981 graduate, was elected to the U.S. Senate. Since 2006, Donnelly has served in the U.S. House of Representatives. This will be his first term as Senator from Indiana. Donnelly is from Granger, Indiana. Donnelly joins 1922 alumnus David Clark as one of only two Notre Dame graduates to be elected to the Senate. Peter Visclosky, a 1973 graduate, won his 15th term in Congress representing District 1 in Indiana. Visclosky has served in the House since 1985 and is from Merrilville, Indiana. Peter King, a 1968 graduate, won his eleventh term in Congress representing District 3 in New York. King resides in Seaford, New York. Keith Rothfus, a 1990 graduate, won his first term in Congress representing District 12 in Pennsylvania. Rothfus resides in Allegheny County, Pennsylvania.
