Andrea M. Barton, ’05 BA, ’09 J.D.

Rev. Mark Poorman, C.S.C., president of the University of Portland, is pleased to announce that Andrea Barton has been promoted to Vice President and General Counsel effective July 1, 2018. Barton joined the University of Portland in January 2017 as General Counsel and Special Assistant to the President. As General Counsel, she oversees all legal matters on behalf of the University and advises the University and members of the campus community in connection with higher education issues. Barton has practiced law since 2009 and has significant experience working with educational institutions. Prior to University of Portland, she was a partner and a member of the education and employment litigation teams at the Miller Nash Graham and Dunn law firm in Portland.
