Field Museum
On Monday morning, participants of the Notre Dame Religious Liberty Summit visited the Field Museum, a natural history museum located in downtown Chicago. Since opening in 1894, the museum has grown its collection to nearly 40 million artifacts and specimens in botany, geology, zoology, and anthropology. Today, the Field Museum advances scientific discovery by researching the objects in its collections, documenting previously unknown species, and conserving ecosystems both locally and around the world.
WELCOME RECEPTION HIGHLIGHTS
On Monday evening, the Notre Dame Religious Liberty Summit welcomed the world’s leading defenders of religious freedom with a reception at RAISED Rooftop Bar overlooking downtown Chicago. Centered on the theme, “We Hold These Truths,” this year’s Summit commemorates the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence and explores its enduring significance for religious liberty in the United States and around the world. Throughout the week, leading scholars, advocates, and faith leaders will examine the future of religious freedom through keynote addresses, panel discussions, and conversations.
