Data protection and privacy laws differ between jurisdictions. In the EU, the General Data Protection Regulation Mandates more explicit consent; limits the use of data to the purposes of which it was gathered; requires that companies recognize and facilitate a right of access for individuals' whose personal data is processed; and implements a right to have one's data deleted under certain circumstances. Following Brexit, how are multinational companies based in London implementing data protection and privacy laws and what cross-border data protection and privacy issues are most pressing? How can you best prepare to practice in this evolving area of law and represent these companies?
