Judge Newsom is a U.S. Circuit Judge of the United States Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit. He was appointed by President Trump, and confirmed by the Senate on August 1, 2017. Prior to his appointment, Judge Newsom practiced law at Bradley Arant. Before joining Bradley Arant, Judge Newsom served as the State of Alabama's Solicitor General. He received his undergraduate degree from Samford University and his J.D. from Harvard Law School.
