A Discussion with the Plaintiffs from Obergefell v. Hodges

Jim Obergefell, the named plaintiff in Obergefell v. Hodges, will share how his story led to the landmark Supreme Court decision on marriage equality.

Greg Bourke '82 M.A. and Michael DeLeon, two additional plaintiffs, will discuss their experiences with the case. M. Patricia Hackett, an adjunct professor of law at Notre Dame Law School, will moderate and discuss the legal aspects of the case.

The event is sponsored by the LGBT Law Forum, American Constitution Society with support from Mendoza College of Business, TREES (Transgender Resource, Education & Enrichment Services), the Black Law Students Association, the Graduate Student Union, the ND Animal Legal Defense Fund, and American Civil Liberties Union.
